The starter comprises a motor(112) rotating a motor shaft(114). The engine includes a Stirling engine(126) started to be driven by the starter, and an engine shaft(122) rotated by the Stirling engine. The generator unit comprises a flywheel(132) rotating around an engine rotary shaft. The transmission unit mechanically connects or separates the starter and the engine which are separated as individual devices.

The first sensor senses the stop position of a pinion gear of a start motor(1). The second sensor senses the stop position of the fly wheel ring gear. The controller receives the signals of the first sensor and the second sensor. The actuator is operated by the controller and moves the pinion gear to the fly wheel ring gear. The bypass circuit supplies electricity from a battery to the start motor.

    • PURPOSE: A starting device of a stirling engine is provided to start the stirling engine by using only heat which is applied to an expansion unit from a heat source to drive the stirling engine without any separate external power.
