    • The purpose of the present invention is to provide a manufacturing method for a resorcinol compound for a semiconductor photoresist capable of lowering raw materials costs by solving the problems of a manufacturing method stated in the prior document, simplifying a process and securing high yield and purity. The present invention provides the manufacturing method for a resorcinol compound comprising: a step of manufacturing a mixed solution by injecting cyclohexanone after injecting resorcinol into methanol and dissolving ingredients (a); a step of injecting p-toluenesulfonic acid dissolved in methanol into the mixed reaction solution and making ingredients react while stirring the ingredients (b); a step of extracting resorcinol compound crystals by injecting deionized water and cooling the deionized water when reaction product concentration reaches the mole ratio of 0.5 as compared to cyclohexanone (c); a step of filtering the extracted resorcinol compound and washing the resorcinol compound (d); a step of putting the resorcinol compound into deionized water, performing reflux on the resorcinol compound and cooling the resorcinol compound (e): and a step of vacuum-drying the resorcinol compound.
