    • PURPOSE: A method for preparing cyclohexyl phenyl ketone from 1,3-butadiene and acrylic acid is provided, to improve the selectivity and the yield of cyclohexyl phenyl ketone without separation and purification processes of intermediates. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of carrying out Diels-Alder reaction of 1,3-butadiene and acrylic acid in the absence or presence of a solvent to prepare 3-cyclohexene-1-carboxylic acid by £2+ 4|; hydrogenating the 3-cyclohexene-1-carboxylic acid to prepare cyclohexanecarboxylic acid; chlorinating the cyclohexanecarboxylic acid without the separation or purification in the cyclohexanecarboxylic acid solution, to prepare cyclohexanecarbonyl chloride; and preparing cyclohexyl phenyl ketone by the Friedel-Craft reaction of cyclohexanecarbonyl chloride at the same reactor without the separation or purification of intermediates. Preferably the solvent is benzene or an non-aromatic organic solvent.
