    • A loess construction material and a preparation method thereof are provided to obtain excellent durability and strength for an eco-friendly construction material by employing loess and mulberry starch composition from paper mulberry tree. A loess construction material is prepared by preparing a mixture by mixing 10-30% by weight of clay, 30-50% by weight of loess and 30-60% by weight of mulberry starch composition that is obtained by mixing the white skin which is obtained by beating the bast bark from the outer skin peeled from boiled paper mulberry tree with mulberry starch in a ratio of 1-99:1-99, mixing 1-50 parts by weight of water and 1-50 parts by weight of at least one gypsum selected from gypsum, hemihydrate gypsum and anhydrous gypsum with 100 parts by weight of the prepared mixture, forming an article and drying the article. The mulberry starch comprises 10-50% by weight of water, which is prepared by softening the ground root of paper mulberry tree with water. A preparation method of the loess construction material comprises steps of: a) boiling paper mulberry tree at 100-200deg.C, peeling off the outer skin of the tree to obtain bast bark, beating the bast bark to obtain white skin, and mixing the white skin with mulberry starch; b) adding at least one gypsum selected from gypsum, hemihydrate gypsum and anhydrous gypsum and water to the mixture obtained in step a); c) pressing the mixture in a mold for forming an article; firstly drying the article from the mold by air drying; and e) secondly drying the article by heating or calcining the article.
