The current and voltage of the PTC heater are measured in the process of measuring the wind amount, and power consumption is calculated. The amount of the wind passing through the PTC heater is detected according to the power consumption. The power is applied to the PTC heater again after predetermined time(S40).     • PURPOSE: A method for controlling an air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to prevent hot air from being discharged to a vehicle indoor in an initial operation of an air conditioner of a vehicle by controlling an opening of a temp door according to the temperature of a PTC(Positive temperature Coefficient) heater, thereby discharging air of optimal temperature to the vehicle indoor. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an air conditioner for a vehicle calculates target discharging temperature of air being discharged to a vehicle indoor based on information sensed by one or more sensors among an outdoor temperature sensor, an indoor temperature sensor, and an incidence sensor. The operation of a blower is detected(S3). The sensed temperature of a PTC heater and target indoor discharging temperature of the vehicle are compared after the current temperature of the PTC heater is sensed by a PTC heater sensor(S4). When the sensed temperature of the PTC heater is higher than the target discharging temperature and the operation of the blower is detected, a position of the temp door is controlled in order to close a flow path passing through the PTC heater(S7).
