    • PURPOSE: A method for removing air pollutants such as dioxin and furan from flue gas of municipal incinerator by non-thermal plasma process is provided, which is characterized in that hydrocarbons serving as an oxidant donor is fed to flue gas, and then high pulse voltage is applied to the flue gas to oxidize dioxin by corona discharge. CONSTITUTION: The method for removing air pollutants such as dioxin and furan from flue gas of municipal incinerator by non-thermal plasma process includes the steps of introducing flue gas to a plasma reactor (10); injecting hydrocarbons into the flue gas in an amount of 30 to 100 ppm, wherein the hydrocarbons are selected from the group consisting of aliphatic hydrocarbons including C3H6, C2H4, C4H8, C5H10, C2H6, C3H8, C4H10 and C5H12; applying high pulse voltage to the plasma reactor (10) to oxidize dioxin by corona discharge; collecting byproducts produced by dioxin oxidation with electrostatic precipitator; and exhausting the flue gas after dioxin removal.

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for treating exhaust gas using a catalyst and plasma is provided to reduce the costs for installation and operation and to improve efficiency of NOx treatment by using an inexpensive catalytic reactor. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas treatment apparatus comprises: a metal casing(10); plural honeycombs(12) placed in the casing; a discharge electrode(15) supported on ceramic insulators(13) and for occurring plasma discharge in the casing for the generation of an element of excellent reaction activity; and a discharge port(19) discharging exhaust gas without NOx. While exhaust gas is supplied to the casing, a transformer(16) boosts the AC power of 220V to 5 or 30kV. The boosted high voltage is applied to the discharge electrode in the casing. If the voltage is over an insulation destructive level, the plasma discharge from the discharge electrode begins in the casing. While exhaust gas passes through the honeycombs coated with an inexpensive catalyst, the NOx in the exhaust gas is removed with the element of excellent reaction activity. The exhaust gas without NOx is discharged through the discharge port. Therefore, the efficiency of NOx removal is improved.

    • PURPOSE: A method for gathering and pre-treating an acid gas sample on a line of a claus plant is provided to prevent a gas chromatograph from being damaged by preventing the acid gas being exhausted to the air. CONSTITUTION: In a method for gathering and pre-treating an acid gas sample on a line of a claus plant, a sample gathering line(21) is connected to an acid gas inducing tube(1a), and a pre-treatment device(22) is connected to the sample gathering line(21). A steam supply tube(25) is connected to a pre-treatment sample exhausting tube(23). First, second and third valves(211,212,213) are connected to front and rear ends of the sample gathering line and the steam supply tube, respectively. An active carbon is filled in the pre-treatment system. The sample gathering line(21) and the pre-treatment device(22) are set at predetermined temperatures, respectively. The sample is introduced into the pre-treatment device, then transmitted to a gas chromatograph. After supplying steam, the sample is returned to the acid gas inducing tube.
