    • 본 발명은 산업공정의 배가스 및 폐기물의 소각과정에서 생성되는 다이옥신 배출제어용 산화촉매, 이의 제조방법 및 용도에 관한 것으로, 좀 더 상세하게는 Ru과, Mn, Ce, Co, Fe 및 V로 이루어진 군으로부터 하나 또는 그 이상 선택된 금속을 포함하여 고효율로 다이옥신류를 산화처리할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 배가스내 함유되어 촉매독으로 작용하는 황산화물에 대한 내 피독성이 있으며, 질소산화물에 대한 환원제거 능력이 있는 산화촉매 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 특히, 본 발명의 촉매인 Ru계열중 가장 좋은 결과를 나타낸 촉매는 다이옥신 제거연구 및 다이옥신 산화촉매개발에 일반적으로 쓰이는 모델반응물로 알려진 1,2-디클로로벤젠에 대하여 98% 전환율, 다이옥신의 전구체로 알려진 클로로벤젠, 클로로페놀에 대하여는 95% 전환율을 보였으며, 황에 대한 내피독성과 내구성에서 우수한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서, 현재 사회적으로 초미의 관심사로 대두된 다이옥신 문제를 해결할 수 있어 소각법을 이용한 폐기물 처리의 활성화 및 대기환경 보존이 기대된다.

    • PURPOSE: An oxidation catalyst for emission control of dioxin in exhaust gas is provided, which can oxidation remove 1,2-dichlorobezene(DCB), is not poisoned by sulfur, can oxidize CB and CP, a precursor and an intermediate of dioxin and also can remove nitrogen oxides. CONSTITUTION: The oxidation catalyst is manufactured as follows: (i) immobilize 0.001-20 wt.% of one or more metals selected from the group consists of Mn, Ce, Co. Fe and V on the surface of carriers such as Al2O3, TiO2, ZrO2, CeO2, Mn and SiO2; (ii) dry at 100-120 deg.C and calcine at an air environment of 300-500 deg.C for 12-24 hours; and (iii) impregnate the calcined catalyst to a ruthenium solution for supporting 0.001-8 wt.% of ruthenium on the photocatalyst before drying at 100-120 deg.C followed by calcination at an air environment of 300-500 deg.C for 12-24 hours.

    • PURPOSE: A method for removing ozone using natural manganese ore catalyst having excellent catalytic activity under sever conditions is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (a) fabricating a catalyst made of natural manganese ore containing 60 to 95 wt.% of pyrolusite (β-MnO2) and 0.5 to 20 wt.% of iron oxide, wherein the catalyst contains 0.1 to 5.0 wt.% of transition metals such as Zn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Au, Pt, Pd, and Rh and (b) treating air or gas containing ozone at a temperature in a range of room temperature to 200°C using the catalyst obtained in the step (a), wherein the natural manganese ore catalyst is fabricated by (a1) crushing the natural manganese ore into particles having a size of 0.1-50 micrometers, (a2) adding the transition metal to the particles, (a3) dispersing the natural manganese ore particles into water, thereby obtaining natural manganese ore slurry, and (a4) coating the natural manganese ore slurry on a structure such as pallet, saddle, cylinder and metal plate.

CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of providing manganese dust by milling pyrolusite based natural manganese ore having a principal ingredient of MnO2 to an average particle size of 5 micrometer or less; providing a clay by kneading a mixture for preparing clay comprising 70 to 95 wt.% of the manganese dust and 5 to 30 wt.% of bentonite; aging the clay by leaving the clay alone at a temperature of 1 to 30 deg.C for 1 to 3 days; providing a monolith honeycomb by molding the aged clay in a vacuum extrusion molding machine; and cutting the monolith honeycomb to a certain size, drying the cut monolith honeycomb in a microwave dryer, and firing the dried monolith honeycomb at a temperature of 400 to 500 deg.C for 1 to 5 hours.

    • PURPOSE: A deodorization method of organic acid using noble metal supported natural manganese ore catalyst is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a deodorizing method which is characterized in that C1-C5 organic acid is oxidized by using natural manganese ore containing more than 80% of manganese dioxide (MnO2, pyrolusite), a method for preparing a natural manganese ore catalyst includes the steps of roll milling natural manganese ore to less than 40 mesh size; calcining natural manganese powder in air atmosphere at 400 to 500 deg.C; diluting the crushed natural manganese ore with distilled water so that a slurry with a specific gravity of 1.00 to 1.50 g/cm¬3 is prepared; adding 10 parts by weight of a silica-based binder into the natural manganese ore slurry to give adhesive power between monolith surface and natural manganese ore slurry; and wash coating the monolith with above natural manganese ore slurry. Further, the natural manganese ore catalyst is preferably supported with at least one metal species selected from the group consisting of Pt, Ru, Pd, Se, MnO2 and MnO3 by excess wet impregnation method.
