    • A method for preparing titanium dioxide photo-catalytic sol and a method for producing titanium dioxide photo-catalyst are provided to produce a catalyst having an excellent catalytic activity at a visible light band. An agitation process is performed by mixing titanium precursor, metal ion precursor, and nitrogen ion precursor into a solvent, and agitating the mixed matter(S110). A peptization process is performed by mixing the solution formed by the agitation process into an acid or base aqueous solution, and peptizing the mixed matter(S120). Metal ions and nitrogen ions are simultaneously doped in a titanium dioxide lattice formed by the peptization process. Further, the solvent is an alcohol-based solvent, and the metal ion precursor is a metal salt or metal acid selected from Pt, Nb and Au.

    • PURPOSE: A monolith honeycomb having superior durability is provided to remove noxious exhaust gas components such as nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, carbon monoxide and volatile organic compounds contained in exhaust gas by adsorption or catalytic reaction, and a method for preparing the same is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of providing manganese dust by milling pyrolusite based natural manganese ore having a principal ingredient of MnO2 to an average particle size of 5 micrometer or less; providing a clay by kneading a mixture for preparing clay comprising 70 to 95 wt.% of the manganese dust and 5 to 30 wt.% of bentonite; aging the clay by leaving the clay alone at a temperature of 1 to 30 deg.C for 1 to 3 days; providing a monolith honeycomb by molding the aged clay in a vacuum extrusion molding machine; and cutting the monolith honeycomb to a certain size, drying the cut monolith honeycomb in a microwave dryer, and firing the dried monolith honeycomb at a temperature of 400 to 500 deg.C for 1 to 5 hours.

    • PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a silver coated photocatalyst is provided to rapidly cause oxidation and reduction reactions so that not only varieties of foreign substances and bacteria existing near photocatalyst are sterilized and decomposed but also strong germicidal power is maintained even at a dark place such as a darkroom by substituting a metal having a strong molecular contact activity, silver (Ag), for a photocatalyst so as to obtain a crystal structure of ultra-high heat resistant isotope. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the processes of heating the mixture to a temperature of about 60 deg.C by adding about 1 wt.% of a small amount of silver (Ag) to the dissolved material after sufficiently dissolving by putting about 3 wt.% of nitric acid (HNO3) to about 50 wt.% of pure water based on the total weight ratio; slowly agitating the materials after adding about 30 wt.% of titanium dioxide (TiO2) to the mixture; washing the mixture with pure water after stirring the mixture again at a low speed of 100 rpm or less as continuously maintaining a temperature of the mixture to about 60 deg.C when the materials are sufficiently mixed; and crushing the resulting material at a crusher after evaporating the moisture by drying the material washed by pure water so that a silver coated fine powder photocatalyst is obtained which has a strong antibacterial power at a bright place as well as a dark place such as a darkroom.
