    • The present invention relates to a power factor correction apparatus and a power factor correction method using the same. The power factor correction apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a power factor correction circuit and a control circuit. The power factor correction circuit includes a first and a second inductor which are connected to an input power terminal, and a first and a second main switch which perform switching operation for the first and the second inductor, respectively. The control circuit provides a control signal to each of the first and the second main switch. When the phase of the first and the second inductor current which flows along the first and the second inductor is unbalanced, any one of the first or the second main switch changes at least one phase of the first or the second main switch to correct the imbalance.

    • The present invention relates to a power factor correction circuit driving device. The driving device for driving a power factor correction circuit includes a first main switch and a second main switch which have a predetermined phase difference and perform a switching operation and a first auxiliary switch and a second auxiliary switch which form a transfer pat of surplus power existing before the first main switch and the second main switch are turned on. The driving device may include an input unit obtaining a plurality of input signals; and an output unit outputting a first control signal with regard to the first main switch, a second control signal with regard to the second main switch, a third control signal with regard to the first auxiliary switch, and a fourth control signal with regard to the second auxiliary switch based on the plurality of input signals.
