    • PURPOSE: A large engine including a cylinder lubricating device and a cylinder lubricating method of thereof are provided to prevent a generation of a fluid medium by a much higher pressure P2 in a second connection line when a first connection line is leaking. CONSTITUTION: A large engine including a cylinder lubricating device comprises a cylinder liner, a piston, a drive shaft, and connection elements (13, 14). The piston is arranged to displace in the cylinder liner. The connection element connects the drive shaft to the piston. A device for lubricating or cooling the cylinder and/or the piston and/or the connection element by the fluid medium is included. The large engine comprises a first connection line (11) for transporting the fluid medium from a reservoir to a used place. At least a part of the first connection line spreads through the connection element. The fluid medium inside the first connection line is pressurized by a pressure P1 materially. A second connection line (12) in which the fluid medium pressurized by a pressure P2 is accommodated is provided. The pressure P2 is higher than a maximum pressure P1 in a normal operation mode.

The boundary of a combustion space is determined, and the piston moves back and forth between a top dead point and a bottom dead point along an piston axial line(A). A piston ring packing(4) is formed on a jacket surface of the piston between a piston crown(101) and a piston skirt(102), and co-operated with a cylinder wall(31). The piston ring packing comprises a first piston ring groove(411) and a partial ring packing(400) with a first piston ring(41). The first piston ring is placed between the piston crown and a second piston ring(42) placed in a second piston ring groove(421). Pressure relief units are formed in the partial ring packing to apply pressure to the second piston ring. A recessed part is formed between the first and second piston rings.
