    • PURPOSE: An engine oil monitoring device and a method thereof are provided to monitor deficit of engine oil using a principles that the rising of the oil temperature is fast when the engine oil is insufficient. CONSTITUTION: An engine oil monitoring device comprises an engine RPM detection unit(101), a water temperature detection unit(103), a display unit(109) and a controller(105). The engine RPM detection unit detects the revolution per minute. The water temperature detection unit detects the temperature of the cooling water. An oil alarm lamp is equipped in the display unit. The controller judges the oil deficiency. The controller determines the oil temperature by modeling an engine condition. The controller calculates the temperature of an oil control valve with the oil temperature and coolant temperature.

    • An oil filter assembly and a method for testing the quality of engine oil is provided to improve measurement reliability by measuring capacitance related to dielectric constant of the engine oil at a place in which alien substances contained in the engine oil flow. An oil filter assembly(100) for testing the quality of engine oil comprises an inner body(110) having a cylindrical shape, a filter member(130), an outer body(140) space apart from the inner body, a first electrode plate(120), a second electrode plate(150), a lower cover(160) and a control unit(170). The inner body includes a filter accommodation part(113). The filter member closely adheres to the filter accommodation part and discharges alien substances of the engine oil introduced through an oil inlet(111). The outer body has and an oil passage(141) and an oil outlet(143). The first electrode plate is installed on the oil passage. The second electrode plate is installed at an inner circumference of the outer body. The lower cover has a first surface communicating with the oil passage and an upper surface on which a damping member(163) is formed. The controller is electrically connected the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate.

    • An apparatus and a method for displaying an oil level are provided to help safe driving by actively informing a driver of the oil level. An apparatus for displaying an oil level includes an oil tank(10), an oil level detection unit(20), a control unit(50), and a temperature sensing unit(60). The oil tank stores oil. The temperature sensing unit is installed inside of the oil tank to measure the temperature of the oil. The oil level detection unit is installed to elevate or descend inside of the oil tank for detecting the oil level in the oil tank. The controller is installed to determine whether the oil level is a proper level or not in the oil tank according to the oil temperature measured by the temperature sensing unit. A plurality of display units(71,72,73,74,75) is connected to the control unit to display an oil level in the oil tank.
