CONSTITUTION: A device for varying a manipulating feeling of an automatic transmission includes a rotating shaft(10) connected with a gear shift lever through a shift cable; a detent plate(12) with plural fitting grooves(12a), combined to the rotating shaft; and a detention adjustment unit(22) elastically combined to the fitting groove of the detent plate. The detention adjustment unit gives detention in shifting, and variably adjusts preload for combination with the fitting groove. The detention adjustment unit comprises a detent spring(14) with an idle roller(16); a housing(24) receiving the detent spring; a return spring(26) giving preload to the detent spring in the housing, and elastically supporting the detent spring; and a cap(28) combined to the housing, to adjust the preload of the return spring. The housing is fixed to a case of the transmission.

CONSTITUTION: A dual detent spring apparatus connects a shift lever of an automatic transmission to a detent plate, and includes a detent spring(110) formed with the planar structure and a roller(120) connected to the detent spring with rolling. A flexible joint spring(130) is inserted between the detent spring and the roller, and the detent spring is connected to the roller by the joint spring. The shift lever is operated with little force, and the gear is shifted smoothly by bending the flexible joint spring easily. Impact and wrong operation are prevented by passing the roller through the detent plate smoothly.
