    • PURPOSE: An oil cooler for an air flow channel of a gas turbine engine is provided to improve heat exchange efficiency by reducing air flow wake at the trailing edges of inner air fins. CONSTITUTION: An oil cooler for an air flow channel of a gas turbine engine comprises an oil flow section(10), inner air fins(12), outer air fins(14), and diverting planes. The oil flow section delivers heated oil flow in a layer approximately parallel to a wall(4) of an air flow channel. The inner air fins are projected from the side of the oil flow section, separate from and parallel to the wall, and extended in the direction of air flow passing through the air flow channel. The diverting planes are projected toward air so that the air flow gets away from the inner air fins through the air flow channel and heads toward the outer air fins.

A plurality of radially extending passages (42 and 44) are provided to supply a first fluid at a first end into the first passage (40), to remove the first fluid from a second end of the first passage (40) and to interconnect adjacent turns of the first passage (40).
