    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish quick nursing business by responding instantaneously to an emergency call from a patient in a bed of a hospital.
      SOLUTION: When an emergency call source, i.e. a patient in a bed, operates a stuff call button 11 of a nurse call slave unit 1a, 1b, ... for a set time or longer or set number of times or more, a speech channel is formed between a nurse call master unit 3 at an emergency call destination and the nurse call slave unit at the emergency call source under control of the CPU 50 in a controller 5 having detected these emergency call operations. The CPU 20 of a passage light 2a, 2b, ... connected with nurse call slave unit at the emergency call source, the CPU 30 of the nurse call master unit, or the CPU of the controller notifies a formation of the speech channel between the nurse call master unit and the nurse call slave unit by an acknowledgement sound from the speaker 13 of nurse call slave unit at the emergency call source. Furthermore, the CPU of the nurse call master unit or the CPU of the controller notifies a formation of the speech channel between the nurse call master unit and the nurse call slave unit by an emergency call sound from the speaker 34 of nurse call master unit at the emergency call source.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, since the service form of an SCPC digital communication system is a radio communication constituted of 1-channel/1-base station, when one radio communication apparatus occupies a channel, other radio communication apparatus cannot communicate with the base station, and the SCPC digital radio communication apparatus has a large power consumption at waiting time and obstructs reductions of weight and size.
      SOLUTION: The radio communication apparatus includes the SCPC (Single Channel Per Carrier) digital radio device, a radio calling receiver and the SCPC digital radio device, and a controller for controlling the radio calling receiver. The radio calling receiver has a signal processing unit for processing a radio calling signal. The controller has a power source controller for controlling applying/interrupting of the power sources of the SCPC digital radio device and the radio calling receiver. When the signal processing unit detects the applying or interrupting of the SCPC digital radio device during the radio calling signal, the controller controls the power source of the SCPC digital radio device, and sets the SCPC digital radio device to an operating state.
