    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle having a pedal mechanism with two kinds of operational systems.
      SOLUTION: A pedal mechanism has a rotary shaft structure comprising a rotary shaft 3 comprising a body 31, shaft rods 32 and 33 extending along the axial direction and provided on both ends of the body 31, a wedge-shaped part 323 formed on an outer edge part of the shaft rod 32, a stopper 34 arranged on a free end of the shaft rod 32, a crank 7 arranged on the other shaft rod 33, a first spring 4 which is attached to the body 31 of the rotary shaft 3 with one end fixed to the body 31 of the rotary shaft 3 and the other end forming an annular body, a first sleeve 1 having a hollow body 11 and a wedge-shaped part 12 protruded into an inner edge part of the body 11, and a second spring 5 which is attached to a part of the shaft rod 32 between the other end of the wedge-shaped part 12 and the stopper 34, and a braking unit 9 having an insertion rod 95 to be inserted in a rotary shaft tubular body 61 and a steering member 91 to control the insertion of the insertion rod 95.

    • PURPOSE:To perform running of a bicycle in a manner to save energy by a method wherein through running of an electric motor for generating frictional electricity, frictional electricity is generated, and the generated electricity is converted into a voltage by a transformer and the voltage is applied to an electric motor for a power to run the electric motor for a power. CONSTITUTION:Frictional electricity is generated by means of an electric motor, the generated electricity is converted into a voltage by means of a transformer and the voltage is applied on an electric motor for a power to run the electric motor, and this operation runs a motor bicycle. The generated electricity is accumulated in a battery through a charger. During a starting, the electric motor for generating frictional electricity is run by means of the power of the battery, and after a starting, a power source is fed from a transformer to continuously run the electric motor for generating frictional electricity.
