    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily converge the amplitude of a vertical deflection waveform to a preset amplitude control target in a transient state just after switching a vertical deflection frequency at the time of changing a picture display size and to improve the stability of the amplitude control system in a steady state after switching. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a waveform output circuit 21 for outputting the deflecting waveform at the vertical deflection frequency by working an arbitrary sample waveform and an amplitude control circuit 22 for controlling the amplitude of the vertical deflection waveform to be constant based on the input difference between the vertical deflecting waveform outputted from this waveform output circuit 21 and a preset amplitude control signal S2. When the input difference between the amplitude control signal S2 and a signal Sv based on the vertical deflection waveform is a little, the amplification factor of an error amplifier 23 is set low but when the input difference between the amplitude control signal S2 and the signal Sv based on the vertical deflection waveform is large, the amplification factor is set high.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a linearized and delay-compensated full-CMOS VCO. CONSTITUTION: A transconductance converter 101 supplies a control current to a voltage-controlled lamp circuit which outputs two lamp voltage outputs, to the positive input terminals of two comparators 205 and 206 upon receiving a controlled-voltage input and the comparators 205 and 206 compare the lamp voltages with a threshold voltage and, when the lamp voltages cross the threshold voltage, output pulses to a latch. A compensating loop receives the oscillation output and control current of the latch as inputs, gives the threshold voltage to each comparator, and incorporates a similar current control circuit and the circuit outputs the same lamp outputs as that of a first current-controlled lamp circuit. A track hold circuit which is triggered by an oscillated output supplies the peak voltage of the lamp outputs to the negative input section of a differential amplifier 211 through a low-pass filter. An external reference voltage is supplied to the positive input section of the amplifier 211 and the output of the amplifier 211 is outputted to each comparator as the threshold voltage, and then, the influences of the delays of the comparators and latch are canceled by the compensating loop.
