    • PURPOSE: To enable the brake feeling without a sense of incompatibility by judging whether the number of revolution is in a range where the gradient appears in the maximum regenerative braking torque at the maximum regenerative braking torque characteristic vs. the number of revolution of a motor, or in the vicinity thereof, and allowing the change with time of the torque command value in the case of the former while not allowing the change with time in the latter. CONSTITUTION: An inverter 12 is a circuit to invert the DC power into the AC power to be fed to a motor 10, and the operation is controlled by an EV-ECU 16 based on the output of a resolver 14. The command value of the ECU 16 is determined by the stroke of an accelerator pedal and the number of revolution of the motor 10 to be detected by the resolver 14. A mechanical valve 28 substantially shuts off the liquid passage while the liquid pressure of a master cylinder is low. The response of the regenerative braking force to the stroke of a brake pedal in the transient condition is improved and the sense of incompatibility is mitigated by compensating the difference between the required braking force and the liquid pressure braking force by the regenerative braking force while the liquid pressure braking force is shut off with the valve opening value as the limit.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce an inertial load by a method wherein when an opening signal is inputted during a closing action, a brake device is operated for a predetermined period of time during the time while a speed reduction control command is outputted and an opening action command entailing an increase in speed is outputted. CONSTITUTION: When an opening signal is inputted into an open/closure drive controller 5 during a closing action of a shutter curtain, the controller 5 outputs a speed reduction command and an opening control command successively to a frequency conversion circuit 8. Next, during the time while the control command is shifted from the speed reduction command to the opening control command, a braking command is outputted to a brake device 3 so that the brake is put into a braking state for a predetermined timer period. And at the time of reverse rotation and opening, the shutter curtain is opened after it is completely stops, and hence a large inertial load is not generated, so that the device 8 does not require a large capacity to prevent a stall due to a large inertial load. As a result, action can be made smooth and the device can be made lightweight and compact and cost can be made lower.
