CONSTITUTION: When operation signals are turned on at the time t1 , for a speed setting means 33, by a speed command selection means 34, speed command signals 31 are selected and the sewing machine is rotated. In the rectification smoothing circuit 15 connected with an auxiliary power transformer 10 output side, a diode element 16 connected between the rectifier circuit and the smoothing capacitor 18 and a diode element 17 connected between the capacitor 18 and output terminals 12-13 are connected in series with polarities reverse to each other to form an OR circuit and their common junction (a capacitor 18 voltage) is connected with the control circuit 9. In this manner, electricity is supplied from the auxiliary power transformer 10 only when a power supply is inputted and once the power supply is driven, said transformer 10 discontinues its participation.

Thus, since the magnetic flux density increases in the amount corresponding to the voltage difference between the V/f pattern (solid line C) and the motor characteristic (broken line D), the output torque rises as the frequency increases. Accordingly, the rising characteristics of the machine 3 becomes efficient without reduction in the acceleration force.
