    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head device capable of reducing the influence of external magnetic field. SOLUTION: A magnetic head mechanism 3E is constituted by housing a magnetic head 5 in a shield ring 6 so that the respective distances from one and the other sides of the shield ring 6 to the center of a groove 14 are the same and a magnetic head device 1E is constituted by confronting rails 15a, 15b on the base end side, on the tip side of a pair of magnetic head mechanisms 3E, 3E on one side to the rails 15b, 15a on the tip side, on the base end side of them on the other side and a pair of shield rings 6, 6 are vertically faced (non-offset state). An interval LS between a pair of shield rings 6, 6 is made shorter than an interval LC between the shield ring on one side and a magnetic head core 8. The most part of external magnetic flux ϕreceived by the shield ring on one side flows to the shield ring 6 on the other side and the magnetic flux ϕC flowing through the magnetic head core is made little. An induced voltage generated in a coil by the external magnetic field is suppressed and a noise becomes small.

    • PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce an external inductive noise by sufficiently reducing a gap between the tip part of a magnetic cut-off plate and a magnetic shield case than the gap between the tip part of a magnetic core part and the magnetic shield case. CONSTITUTION:The gap B between the tip part 5 of the magnetic cut-of plate 2 and the magnetic shield case 4 is set sufficiently smaller than the gap A between the tip part 6 of the magnetic core 1 and the magnetic shield case 4. Then, since an external noise magnetic flux H is transmitted more to the magnetic cut-off plate 2 as shown by the magnetic fluxes h1, h2, h3, and is transmitted not much to the magnetic core as shown by the magnetic fluxes H1, H2, H3, H4, the noise magnetic flux passing through an electromagnetic conversion coil (not shown in gigure) is reduced, and a noise reproducing amount is reduced. In such a manner, by sufficiently bringing the magnetic cut-off plate 2 between tracks nearer to the magnetic shield case 4 than the magnetic core 1, the external inductive noise is reduced remarkably without increasing a manufacturing cost.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the magneto-resistance effect type head which makes the width of the track of a magnetic recording medium narrow, increases the recording density, and improves its reproduction output with a small noise. CONSTITUTION:The part of one of insulating layers 2 and 7, arranged on both film surfaces of the magneto-resistance effect element consisting of a soft magnetic film 3, an insulating film 4, a magneto-resistance film 5, and an electrode terminal 6, which is close to the magneto-resistance film 5 in a direction which does not face the medium to track width is removed or made thin in a specific shape to form a hollow 10, wherein a soft magnetic film 8 constituting a 2nd shield member is embedded to join or put a ferrite substrate 1 as a 1st shield member and the soft magnetic film 8 as the 2nd shield member together or close to each other. The whole magneto-resistance film is in a flow of magnetic flux, so the flow of the magnetic flux from the medium effectively contributes to resistance variation and a high output is obtained.
