    • PURPOSE:To reduce the number of components, a process defect and assembling man-hour by prolonging a part of the rear part of a bobbin of a side winding format of a recording and reproducing element and arranging a terminal metal fitting entangling and processing a winding end on its prolonged part. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a pair of magnetic cores 1a, 1b, a side winding bobbin 2, the terminal fitting 3 for soldering and fixing the winding end to the bobbin 2, a coil wire 4, a pair of core holders 5a, 5b for positioning and fixing the cores 1a, 1b and a magnetic gap spacer 6. First of all, the core 1a is inserted into a bobbin terminal assembly body, and the coil wire 4 is wound, and the winding end is entangled to the terminal fitting 3 to be wire connected by dip soldering, etc. Thereafter, the winding wound cores 1a, 1b are positioned and fixed on respective core holders 5a, 5b by calking and adhesion, and magnetic gap forming opposite surfaces are worked to prescribed precision, and the magnetic gap spacer 6 is clamped in between, and they are abutted and fixed to each other by the adhesion and welding, etc. Thereafter, a medium running surface is finished to the prescribed precision.

    • PURPOSE:To largely reduce spacing loss by friction by using a non-magnetic material having high wear resistance rather than a magnetic core as a spacer for forming a magnetic gap of a magnetic recording and reproducing element. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic core 1 for reproducing for reading a signal in a magnetic medium, a magnetic core 2 for recording for writing a signal, core holders 3A, 3B for fixing each core 1, 2 to the prescribed position, a coil wire 4 for reproducing, a coil wire 5 for recording are provided. Further, a magnetic gap spacer 6a of a non-magnetic material for forming a magnetic gap, terminal mounts 7A, 7B to which each coil end is connected, a dummy magnetic core 8 for making magnetic fluxes at the time of recording, a plate for cutting magnetism 9 which prevents leakage of magnetic fluxes between adjacent tracks, separating plate 10 which separates the magnetic core 1 for reproducing and the dummy magnetic core 8 are provided. Since a non-magnetic material having wear resistance equal to that of each magnetic cores 1, 2, 8 or more is used for the magnetic gap space 6a, wear becomes as shown in Fig.(d), and spacing loss is largely reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the magnetic recording and reproducing device having high recording performance by imparting anisotropy to the gap-facing surfaces of magnetic metallic cores having a high saturation magnetic density and the inner flanks of the cores and forming a magnetic film having a higher saturation magnetic density than the density of a main magnetic core. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic recording and reproducing device has the magnetic cores 2 for recording produced by cutting out of a high saturation magnetic material and magnetic films 11 which are formed of magnetic materials having the higher high saturation magnetic density than the saturation magnetic density of the core material and having the anisotropy on the opposite surfaces thereof and the inner flanks in the depth direction thereof. The device has also the coil wires 5 for recording and nonmagnetic spacers 6 for forming the magnetic gap. Magnetic fluxes flow in the magnetic cores 2 toward the magnetic gap 6 when recording currents are passed to the coil wires 5 for recording but the magnetic gap part 6 is no more magnetically satd. by the magnetic films 11 having the supersaturation magnetic flux density and the more magnetic fluxes are outputted from the magnetic gap part 6. The high recording performance is thus obtd. without deteriorating environmental resistant performance.

    • PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance of a magnetic head remarkably and lengthen the life by covering at least a part of the magnetic core with a magnetic material of high wear resistance on the sliding face of a magnetic recording medium of the magnetic head excluding the part near the magnetic gap of the magnetic core. CONSTITUTION:A wear resistant member 6 is provided in the body of a head in addition to the basic structure consisting of a magnetic core 1, reinforcing plates 2, 2 and mold glasses 3, 3. The wear resistant member 6 is made of material higher in wear resistance than magnetic metallic material of the magnetic core 1 and attached on the magnetic core 1 by sputtering, vapor deposition etc. to cover the magnetic core part 1 excluding a part near the magnetic gap G on the sliding face. It is desirable to use magnetic material of high permeability such as ferrite etc. as the wear resistant member 6. Thus, as the part excluding a part near the magnetic gap G of sliding face of the magnetic core 1 low in wear resistance on the sliding face is covered with the wear resistant member 6, wear of the magnetic core 1 can be held down very effectively, and wear resistance of the head can be improved remarkably.

    • PURPOSE:To better contact and adhesive property of a magnetic head and a recording medium at the time of sliding and obtain excellent recording and reproducing characteristic by providing a groove that produces negative pressure when sliding on a part of the sliding face of the magnetic recording medium along a direction at right angles to or inclined to the direction of sliding. CONSTITUTION:In the body of a magnetic head, a magnetic core 1 is reinforced by reinforcing plates 2, 2, and a groove 9 is provided on the sliding face. The groove 9 is provided near the back side of a magnetic gap G facing the direction of sliding of the magnetic head that slides to the magnetic tape in the direction shown by the arrow mark A on the sliding face, and formed extending over whole width of the body of the head along the direction at right angles to the direction of sliding, and the sectional form is nearly U-shape. Thus, coil winding is wound in the body of the head through a winding window 4 and winding grooves 5, 5, and constituted as a magnetic head. The magnetic head is fixed to the rotary cylinder of a VTR and rotated as shown by the arrow mark A' by rotation of the rotary cylinder at the time of recording and recording, and recording and reproducing are made by sliding on the magnetic tape.
