    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical infrared radiation simulation target capable of maintaining an infrared radiation function even when it is hit to some extent from a machine gun or the like, and useful in a firing test or shooting practice of a machine gun or the like having an infrared targeting function.
      SOLUTION: The infrared simulation target is used in a firing test or shooting practice of a firearm having the infrared targeting function, and it has a seat 10, a target base 20 having a tabular or hollow solid shape arranged on the seat 10, and a heat source 30 provided with an electric heating element arranged along a surface of the target base 20. The electric heating element comprises sheet metal 30 arranged within a predetermined effective range on the surface of the target base 20.

    • PURPOSE:To simultaneously generate an electromagnetic wave reflection and heat generation and to improve performance of a target piece by forming the piece to be discharged into the atmospheric space and used as an external target using oxidizing heat generating metal or oxidizing heat generating nonmetal and metal. CONSTITUTION:This target piece is formed of oxidizing heat generating metal 11 or a laminate in which oxidizing heat generating nonmetal 21 and metal 22 are laminated through adhesive 23 as constituting substances. When many pieces are discharged in the atmospheric space, the pieces are gradually dropped while taking various attitudes due to influences of air flow, its environments and soon arrives at the ground. In the meantime, i.e., while the pieces exist in the atmospheric space, metals of the pieces resonate with coming electromagnetic wave to serve as reflectors, and has oxidizing heat generation, and hence chemically react with oxygen in the atmosphere to generate heat to function as an infrared ray target.

    • PURPOSE:To repeatedly use the running target by a method wherein a heat ray target, having a heat generating body radiating an arbitrary heat ray pattern is loaded, on a truck running on a track under a set condition, in the subject target for evaluation test of a missile and the like having heat rays tracking function. CONSTITUTION:A target truck 1 is put runnably on a track 43 and the running of the truck 1 is controlled by an operating board, not shown in a diagram. Protecting boards 21-23, repulsing the direct impact of a missile and the like, are bonded on the front surface of launching device of the missile and the like, the ceiling surface and the surface of the target truck 1, which becomes a leading head upon launching the missile and the like, while heat rays targets 7, 15, 16 are arranged on the surfaces of respective protecting boards 21-23. Check type heat generating bodies 14 are arranged on the outer surfaces of the heat rays targets 7, 15, 16. An arbitrary heat ray pattern is set in the operating board whereby several heat generating bodies 14 are selected to radiate heat rays of a predetermined pattern. The heat generating body 14 is constituted of the semi-conductor of conductive resin and the like.

    • PURPOSE:To deceive an entering flying body by a guidance system of infrared rays and a radar by keeping at a distance a polyethylene warship type thermal balloon coated with a metal film from a warship at a low height by wireless control. CONSTITUTION:Once a flying body 3 is detected in its approach, a warship 1 rapidly distends a polyethylene thermal balloon bag 11 of a warship like shape by compressed air and heats air in the bag 11 by a burner 12 for floating of the bag in air and further propels the same by a propeller 14 for departure of the same from the warship 1. The degree of the heating is controlled by a wireless signal together with the direction of the propeller such that a flying height is far from the sea surface. The bag 11 is coated with a metal film and surface temperature of the same is higher than the background (sea surface), and hence the follow-up point of the flying body by an infrared image processing system and a radar follow-up system can be moved from the warship to the thermal balloon side by a centroid effect.
