    • PURPOSE:To improve durability of a tank with prevention of rust engenderment in such a way that inert gas is normally enclosed and interposed between a concrete body and a metal lining so as not to let subterranean water and wet air in contact with the metal lining. CONSTITUTION:When a tank 5' gets into driving condition, subterranean water 6 and wet air intrudes into a concrete body 2, for coping therewith, synchronously with starting the drive, nitrogen gas is fed from a nitrogen supply source 16 with use of a pressure pump 15 through a feeding pipe 9 into nozzle pipes 10, 10 ..., enclosing seal is done through their nozzles 17, 17 ... into a gap part 21 between the metal lining 7 and the concrete body 2, to prevent it from oxidation due to intruded air. Further, the subterranean water 6 and wet air intruded into the concrete body 2 is interrupted by nitrogen constantly formulated in a thin membrane shape over the outer surface of the metal lining 7, to prevent this outer surface from engendering rust.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent melting water from scattering and flowing out to the roof plate of a storage tank by providing a drain pipe for melting water and a tray to accumulate melting water from icing produced at a piping takeout portion, around the piping takeout portion the storage tank. CONSTITUTION:Piping 2 to conduct the receiving and drawing out of a storage liquid is provided at the roof portion 1 of a low temperature liquid storage tank, and the piping 2 is fixed at the roof plate 1 through a piping takeout portion 3 loaded with a heat insulating material in order to realize heat insulation against the roof plate 1, but icing 4 is generated at a joining portion between the piping takeout portion 3 and the piping 2. The icing 4 is melted due to the rise of the outer temperature, and melting water flows down along the outer wall surface of the piping takeout portion 3. The melting water is accumulated in a tray 5, and is led by means of a drain pipe 6, and drained to a drainage. Accordingly, melting water from a piping fixation portion 3a does not scatter or flow out to the storage tank roof 1. As a result, the lowering of a fine view and the deterioration of the coating film of the outer wall of the storage tank due to the generation of mold and duckweed can be prevented.
