    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe clutch device capable of reliably maintaining a locked state even when an excessive load is applied to a second member.SOLUTION: A clutch device includes a lock drum 1 on the side of a first member, an output shaft plate 6 on the side of a second member, a lock spring 3 internally fitted to the lock drum 1, and an adjusting drum 2 arranged inside the lock spring 3. The lock spring 3 has an outer diameter slightly larger than the inner diameter of the lock drum 1 in a free state, and includes lock spring step portions 3c each consisting of a lock spring curve portion 3d and a lock spring bottom portion 3e. Lock spring pulling-side contact points 3a and lock spring pushing-side contact points 3b are formed respectively on the side of the lock spring curved parts 3d on which the diameter of the lock spring 3 is contracted and the side on which the diameter is expanded. The adjusting drum 2 is provided with a lock spring operation piece 8 for pressing the lock spring pulling-side contact points 3a, and the output shaft plate 6 is provided with a lock spring pressing piece 7 for pressing the lock spring pushing-side contact points 3b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning restricting device for a turning shaft for surely permitting turning restriction of the turning shaft or canceling the restriction while simplifying work for assembling a thrust member by enlarging or shrinking the inner diameters of a pair of coil springs with simple linear movement or turning action of the thrust member in simple construction. SOLUTION: The pair of coil springs 62, 64 coiled in mutually opposite directions and each having an inner diameter somewhat larger than the outer diameter of the turning shaft 5 are located adjacent to each other and securely inserted through the outer periphery of the turning shaft 5. The thrust member 8' is linearly moved between both coiling beginning ends 62a, 64a extending from the ends of both coil springs 62, 64 to the radial direction and opening in the circumferential direction. The inner diameters of both coil springs 62, 64 are shrunk with force components generated in the same directions as the coiling directions of both coil springs 62, 64 by a V-groove formed at the front ends when thrusting the outside of the coiling beginning ends 62a, 64a inward, thus permitting the turning restriction of the turning shaft 5.
