    • PURPOSE:To reduce fuel consumption through reduction of engine vibration and engine weight by providing a structure where the center of a rotor, a rotating body and the center of a rotor housing, a rotated body coincide. CONSTITUTION:A reciprocating piston C is incorporated in a rotor B which moves along an inner wall of a rotor housing A which is concentric with the rotor, and is connected to a connecting rod D. A crank shaft E, a rotating body with its center at an eccentric position from the center of the rotor housing A is connected to the connecting rod D. One or more piston (s) C can be provided. In the above-mentioned condition, reciprocating motion is generated in the piston C by rotating the rotor B and the connecting rod D within the rotor housing A at a same speed. By utilizing this motion, strokes of intake, compression, explosion and exhaust can be achieved with a unit of 720 degrees by operating an intake valve and an exhaust valve. This allows reduction of fuel consumption through reduction of engine vibration, increased torque, motion resistance and engine weight.

    • PURPOSE:To constantly and effectively vaporize an alcohol fuel in all the operating regions of an engine and to improve the combustion efficiency by disposing a red heat member in an internal wall portion of a combustion chamber, and controlling the red heat member so as to put to a heated or non-heated state in accordance with the operating state of the engine. CONSTITUTION:A sub-combustion chamber 5 in which an exhaust valve 1 and an alcohol fuel injection nozzle 15 are respectively disposed has upper and lower internal wall portions 26, 29 made of material of low thermal conductivity. A red heat plate 12 is provided between the upper and lower internal wall portions 26, 29 and an outer periphery thereof is thermally insulated from a cylinder head 3 through a heat insulating gasket 14. Then, the driving of the fuel injection pump 11 of the fuel injection nozzle 15 and the red heat plate 12 is controlled by a controller 10 based on respective detecting signals from an engine load sensor 16 and a rotation sensor 17. Namely, for example, when an engine speed is lower than a prescribed value, it is judged that the red heat member is put to a low temperature state and the red heat plate 12 is heated to promote the vaporization of alcohol fuel.
