      SOLUTION: A stitching drum unit 20 is disposed in such a state that stitching needles 203 project in the radial direction at prescribed intervals. A knitted fabric case unit 30 has notched grooves 301a for disposing the stitching drum unit 20 in such a way that part of the stitching needles project to a mounting surface. A knitted fabric adjusting unit 50 includes: an image pick-up camera 551 disposed to face the notched grooves 301 via a gap for imaging the knitted fabric; an image processing means for processing the captured image of the knitted fabric; ball rollers 511A and 511B for adjusting the position of the knitted fabric so that the knitted stitches are pricked with the stitching needles 203 based on the position of the knitted stitches in the image of the knitted fabric; and a plurality of drive motor units for rotationally driving the ball rollers 511A and 511B in the direction of advancement and in the direction of lateral divergence of the knitted fabric.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointed needle which can produce a product being in rich in flexibility in such a manner that skipping and fraying are prevented from occurring even with an elastic yarn such as an FTY or a rubber yarn, and a chinking process is made to be surely performed, and to enable a product being in excellent in a wearing feeling to be produced.
      SOLUTION: This pointed needle is used while being installed on a looping sewing machine, an attaching section is formed at the upper part, and a thread passing hole is provided at a pointed section at the lower part. Then, the pointed needle is constituted by providing a gap forming section for making a thread catching member easily catch the thread of the pointed needle when the pointed needle is lowered to the thread catching member section under a state in which the thread is passed through the thread passing hole.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sewing method capable of processing stiff sewing treatment without passing a point needle in a darning stitch composed near an end of a direction of course, and efficiently and automatically processing linking treatment of the other darning stitches.
      SOLUTION: In the sewing method, the point needle is passed through part with continuous overcasting stitches of knitted fabrics having the overcasting stitches at the endmost part of the course, and the knitted fabrics stretched to the course direction are sewed. The point needle is extracted in the state wherein the fabrics are pinched in the course direction near the overcasting stitch. Then, the overcasting stitch where a point needle is not passing through are sewed with smaller interval than the intervals of the overcasting stitch where a point needle is not passing through so that the overcasting stitch where the point needle is not passing through is to pass through.
