摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detoxification method for intermingled organic chlorine compounds by which waste oils such as insulating oils containing a plurality of kinds of intermingled organic chlorine compounds such as a polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB), a trichlorobenzene (TCB) and a tetrachloroethylene (TCE) can be detoxified without generating dioxins as by-products.
SOLUTION: A mixed solution of a hydrogen donor and an alkaline compound is added to a waste oil such as an insulating oil containing a plurality of organic chlorine compounds to form a treatment liquid, and the treatment liquid is irradiated with a micro wave while making the treatment liquid circulate through a catalyst filled apparatus in this detoxification method. In the detoxification method, a plurality of the organic chlorine compounds are simultaneously decomposed by using three times or more of the hydrogen donor to the waste oil, or dividedly adding the mixture of the hydrogen donor and the alkaline compound.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method for detoxifying organic chlorine compounds such as tetrachloroethylene contained, for example, in industrial waste water, groundwater or soil, into a harmless state at normal temperature and pressure in a short time.
SOLUTION: This treating method for the organic chlorine compounds comprises processes of: extracting the organic chlorine compounds from a treated solution containing the organic chlorine compounds and transferring it into an organic solvent; and bringing a reducing catalyst into contact with the extracted solution and reducing the organic chlorine compounds. An 8C or less alcohol is used as the organic solvent in the extraction process, and the reduction treatment is carried out at the normal temperature and pressure. The organic solvent of at least one kind selected from methanol, ethanol and propanol, and a reduction catalyst with a metal having a reduction action carried on the surface of activated carbon, are preferably used.
