    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which maintain a feeling of ride under vibration and which has enhanced run-flat durable performance. SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire has a pair of thick, reinforcing rubber strips, whose sectional form is of crescent shape, inside the tire. The tire is provided with an annular projected part, which is on the inner peripheral surface along the outer peripheral part of a flange, leaving a gap between the flange and itself when a carcass is fitted to an application rim so as to bring the internal pressure of the tire to zero. In addition, the form of the innermost carcass ply in the cross section of the tire, compared with the natural, equilibrium form of the innermost carcass ply when the tire is inflated under the pneumatic pressure corresponding to 0.75 to 1.00 times the pneumatic pressure corresponding to the maximum load capacity of the tire, should be as follows: (1) maximum width position M should be located more inside in the radial direction of the tire than the maximum width position Mp of the natural, equilibrium form. (2) for the more outside region in the radial direction of the tire than the maximum width position Mp, position M should be located more inside the tire than position Mp. (3) for the more inside region in the radial direction of the tire than Mp, position M should be located more outside the tire than position Mp.
