    • PURPOSE:To enable reliable drive of a robot based on data obtained from a picture, by providing a means which converts a picture related to the shape of a work into an electric signal to produce data for a work and converts the data to data related to a tool work. CONSTITUTION:A picture related to the shape of a work 38 and a picture related to a force exerted on the work are inputted to an input device 36 through control, and the inputted pictures are converted into an electric signal by means of the input device 36. Based on the electric signal, a data producing part 30 produces data for machining a work, e.g. data on the shape of a work, data on the position and the length of the ridge of a work, the magnitude of a force exerted on a tool, and data to maintain the magnitude of the force. The data are transferred to a data converting part 34, data related to the work of a tool 22 is converted, and the converted data is converted into a robot control signal by a robot control device 12. By means of the control signal, each of the joints of the robot is driven, and the tool is moved along the ridge of the work to remove burrs.
