Or, the tooth surface to intercouple the outer end inner peripheral parts is formed in a polygonal shape wherein an intermediate part forms an apex and tooth thickness is gradually decreased from the apex toward an outer peripheral part and an inner peripheral part.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a machining method wherein excellent flatness of an end plate surface can be achieved even when a revolving scroll being the main constituent part of a scroll compressor has rigidity in terms of shape. CONSTITUTION:A draw claw 12 is pressurized in parallel to the axis of a revolving scroll in a state that, by utilizing a peripheral groove formed in the outer periphery of the end plate part 3 of a revolving scroll 1 and a radial groove 8 formed in a chuck part 7, the tip of the draw claw 12 on the packing plate 11 side is inserted in the groove and hooked astride the radial groove. The revolving scroll 1 is securely adhered to the packing plate 11 with high precision in a state that it is prevented from deformation as much as possible, and machining is carried out by using an end mill and the like. This method brings the end face of the revolving scroll into vertical contact with a packing plate surface where right angles precision is easily provided, causes secure fastening of the revolving scroll through delicate resilient deformation of the draw claw and a work, reduces the fastening deformation, and provides excellent flatness of an end plate surface.
