    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging manufacturing method of high productivity capable of suppressing generation of strains in circularity by performing hardening using an easily attachable/detachable hardening strain suppression tool.
      SOLUTION: In the forging manufacturing method including a step of heating and hardening a forged product (1) having a bottomed cylindrical part (11), a hardening strain suppression tool 2 with an outer circumference surrounding part 21 having a clearance at normal temperature at which at least a part of the clearance is zero in a heated condition is heated in a state that the tool 2 is mounted from the outside on the bottomed cylindrical part (11). Then the part of the forged product (1) where the tool 2 is mounted is directed downward, and the upper end side of the forged product (1) is fixed with a fixing means and the forged product (1) is immersed into an immersion tank to perform the hardening.
