    • PURPOSE:To enable prevention of steam explosion in the stage of water granulation of a molten metal irrespectively of the degree of an operator's skill by detecting the tilting angle of a ladle, and converting the same to an electrical signal then oscillating the result of the comparison and calculation thereof with a set tilting speed and controlling the hydraulic device for a device for tilting the ladle. CONSTITUTION:A speed displacement obtd. from an angle detector 15 installed to a revolving shaft of a tilting base 9 for a ladle is converted to an electrical signal indicating an angular speed by a converter 16. On the other hand, the ladle tilting speed set from a safe charging speed of a molten metal is preliminarily stored in a setter 18 for the tilting speed and is compared and calculated with the information obtd. from the converter 16 by an arithmetic device 17. An oscillator 19 emits the signal to increase or decrease the flow rate of the hydraulic fluid for a hydraulic cylinder 10 according to the result thereof, so that a speed controller 13 increases or decreases the flow rate of the hydraulic fluid by a hydraulic pump 11. A ladle 5 is tilted at the set spped to drop a molten metal 6 of a high temp. Therough a tundish 7 into the high pressure water jet from a waer ejecting hole 2, by which the molten metal is subjected to a water granulation treatment.
