    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control unit capable of carrying out "a fail-safe determination for preventing double engagement" and "a filling determination of a frictional engaging device" by one oil pressure switch. SOLUTION: The one oil pressure switch SW and one detection pressure changeover valve 43 are arranged in a hydraulic control system of the frictional engaging device CL of requiring fail-safe, and the detection pressure changeover valve 43 is switched by auxiliary pressure based on operation of an oil pressure control valve 1. When an auxiliary port 41 communicates with an input port 14 and the detection pressure changeover valve 43 is switched to the filling determination side, the oil pressure switch SW is turned on and "a filling determination" can be carried out. When the auxiliary port 41 is disconnected from the input port 14, the detection pressure changeover valve 43 is switched to the fail-safe determination side, and the oil pressure switch SW is supplied with the same driving oil pressure as the frictional engaging device CL, and "the fail-safe determination" can be carried out from an ON-OFF state of the oil pressure switch SW.
