    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging unit that can perform excellent key combining processing, a portable terminal device and a portable terminal system.
      SOLUTION: The imaging unit 10 mainly has an imaging part 30, a converting part 40 and a key signal generating part 50. The converting part 40 converts the format of picked-up image data output from the imaging part 30 from a YUV format into an RGB format. The key signal generating part 50 generates a key signal based on each pixel data constituting the picked-up image data and reference data about the picked-up image data input from the imaging part 30 side. The key signal generating part 50 outputs a foreground image data with the generated key signal and pixel data of a corresponding RGB format as a minimum configuration unit. The image combining part 120 of the main body unit 100 superimposes the foreground image data from the imaging unit 10 on background image data stored in a RAM 112 on the basis of the key signal included in the foreground image data to generate composite image data.
