    • PURPOSE:To provide multi-color display with a simple construction and to obtain sufficient contrast by forming a pattern for multi-color dusplay on the front surface of a panel of a cathode-ray tube used for meter display of a car. CONSTITUTION:Sensitive materials which generate adhesive property when they are exposed in light are applied on the panel front surface of a cathode-ray tube 1 used for, for examle, meter display of a car, then exposed through a mask having a specified pattern. Pigments having desired colors are sprayed on potions having adhesive property generated by exposure to form patterns 2a-2e for multi-color display. Resin 3 and a front panel 4 are arranged thereon to form a multi-color display cathode-ray tube. Thereby, multi-color display is provided by a simple construction and cost can be reduced. Contrast is increased by reducing reflection factor by selecting pigments.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel for display having a structure in which a color filter resists being damaged even by a heat treatment under a reducing atmosphere during a manufacturing process of a display device. SOLUTION: The panel for display (anode panel AP) comprises a phosphor region 23 formed on a substrate 20, and an electrode (anode electrode 24) formed on the phosphor region 23. Electrons emitted from an electron beam source 15 and passing through the electrode collide with the phosphor region 23. The phosphor region 23 thereby emits light so that a desired image is obtained. Between the substrate 20 and the phosphor region 23, there are provided a color filter 30 and a color filter protection film 31, of which the former is closer to the substrate 20.
