    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor, which is suitable for an image forming method of image exposure using a light source at an emission wavelength peak of 350 to 500 nm to form a high-density electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor, and which has high sensitivity, excellent durability and excellent image reproducing property; and also to provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus using the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a charge generating layer and a charge transporting layer on a conductive support, wherein the charge generating layer contains a pyranthrone pigment, and the charge transporting layer contains at least one kind in compounds expressed by a formula (1) or polymeric structures of the compound. In the formula (1), R 1 and R 2 each represent a 1-5C alkyl or alkoxy group or a halogen atom; m and n each represent an integer of 0 to 5; and R 3 to R 5 each represent a hydrogen atom or substituted or unsubstituted 1-5C alkyl or alkoxy group, however, all of R 3 to R 5 are not hydrogen atoms.
