摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organophotoreceptor having excellent electrostatic characteristics and to provide a polymer charge transporting composition having reduced extraction by a liquid carrier and reducing the need for a polymer binder. SOLUTION: The organophotoreceptor comprises a conductive supporting body and a photoconductive element on the conductive supporting body. The photoconductive element contains (a) a polymer charge transporting composition having chemical formula (1) and (b) a charge generating compound. Because the composition (a) has both of charge transporting property and compatibility with a binder, it has improved compatibility, separation property and crystallization, and excellent electrostatic characteristics. SOLUTION: The negatively charged coated toner particles comprise a plurality of polymeric binder particles that are substantially free of negatively charged pigment and a coating material comprising at least one negatively charged pigment coated on the outside surface of the polymeric binder particles. In one embodiment, a majority of the specific charge of the toner particles is contributed from the negatively charged pigment. In another embodiment, the toner particles are substantially free of additional charge director or charge control additive. The electrophotographic toner composition comprising these particles is also provided.

Methods of making dry electrographic toner compositions are also provided comprising a step of forming polymeric binder particles comprising at least one amphipathic copolymer comprising one or more S material portions and one or more D material portions, and a step of milling the particles before or after formulation as toner particles with wax in a liquid carrier prior to drying to make the dry toner composition.
