    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black and white heat developable photosensitive material having high sensitivity, high density and an excellent image tone over a low density area to high density area. SOLUTION: The black and white heat developable photosensitive material contains at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a color developing agent and a coupler on at least one surface of a support, wherein the black and white heat developable photosensitive material has at least two image forming layers containing the photosensitive silver halide. The first image forming layer contains at least a reducing agent for silver ions, the second image forming layer contains the color developing agent, and the sensitivity difference between the first image forming layer and the second image forming layer is ≥0.2 as expressed by LogE 0 which is the logarithm of an exposure amount E 0 required to obtain an image density of 1.0.
