    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately measure HbA1c.SOLUTION: An optical waveguide type measurement system includes: a first optical waveguide; a first substance that is fixed on the first optical waveguide and can be specifically bound to glycosylated hemoglobin; and a plurality of first magnetic fine particles fixed with a second substance that can be specifically bound to the glycosylated hemoglobin in places different from places where the first substance capable of being specifically bound to the glycosylated hemoglobin. The optical waveguide type measurement system further includes: a first magnetic field application section that is provided above the first optical waveguide and can move at least one of the plurality of first magnetic fine particles by magnetic force; a first light source capable of making light incident to the first optical waveguide; and a first light receiving element capable of light-receiving light emitted from the first optical waveguide.
