    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a degree of hardness or porosity of a measuring object (for example, a tablet 2 or the like) in which particles are agglomerated.SOLUTION: A measuring apparatus 1 includes: an electromagnetic wave detector 14 which detects an electromagnetic wave propagating through an inside of a tablet 2 and having a frequency of not less than 0.02 THz and not more than 12 THz; an amplitude/phase measuring unit 18 which measures a phase change of the electromagnetic wave generated while propagating through the inside of the tablet, on the basis of the detection result of the electromagnetic wave detector 14; and a hardness/porosity deriving unit 24 which derives a degree of hardness or porosity of the tablet 2 on the basis of a measured result φ(ν) of the amplitude/phase measuring unit 18 (on the basis of the φ(ν) itself, or a refractive index n(ν) of the tablet 2 derived by a refractive index deriving unit 22).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a honeycomb structure in which both end faces are made in a desired blocking state.
      SOLUTION: Each cell end at one end face 861 of a structure body 86 is alternately blocked with adjacent cells. A light translucent resin film is stuck on the other end face 862 of the structure body 86 to cover the end face., and is irradiated with light rays from the one end face 861 of the structure body 86 by a light irradiation device 55 to image the other end face 862 of the structure body 86 by a camera part 511 in the irradiated state. By discriminating the contrast of every cell in the image data obtained by the camera part 511, the blocking state of each cell at the one end face 861 is recognized. Through-holes 21 are formed on the resin film at the cell position of the other end face 862, based on the blocking state of the one end face 861 thus recognized.
