    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive cutoff valve flow passage unit easily installable in a gas meter whose casing is made of a sheet metal press, and having resistance against foreign matter and moisture in a pipe and mischief.
      SOLUTION: A valve chest 56 having an inlet pipe 51, a speed reduction chamber 52 arranged below and having the flow passage cross-sectional area larger than the flow passage cross-sectional area of the inlet pipe 51, a horizontal flow passage 53 opened in the substantially horizontal direction from a side surface of a position higher than a bottom surface 52a and a valve seat hole 54 opening downward in a gas introducing chamber 46 inside of the gas meter, is integrally molded by a synthetic resin. Since the cutoff valve flow passage unit is constituted with a cutoff valve 81 having a valve element 82 for opening-closing the valve seat hole 54 and incorporating an airtight structure into a body, the foreign matter and the moisture in the pipe are dropped by the speed reduction chamber 52, and due to being unable to easily touch the valve element 82 even if a finger and a bar-shaped object are inserted, the inexpensive cutoff valve flow passage unit having resistance against the foreign matter and the moisture in the pipe and the mischief, can be provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and functionally concretized device for gas combustion capable of safely generating light instead of a conventional electric bulb.
      SOLUTION: This device for gas combustion has: a base structure 1; a solenoid valve 2 for forming the base structure 1; a gas pipe 3 connected with one of a plurality of joints of the solenoid valve 2; a pressure regulator 4 connected to another joint of the solenoid valve 2; a gas burner 5 mounted to an end of the pressure regulator 4. The device is characterized by that the base structure 1 includes: a pilot gas burner 6 for generating spark for igniting gas supplied to the combustion burner 5; and a heat sensor 7 carrying out a function of a parameter for constantly measuring a heat index generated by the device, and used for signaling a situation capable of occurring by combustion of gas through the interrupted gas burner 5 so as to allow an external control means 8 to stop the gas flow.
