    • PURPOSE:To prevent a movable seal from being frozen and deformed by forming a room which is filled with warm gas at the low-temperature side of the movable seal so as to keep the movable seal in the atmosphere of a room air temperature. CONSTITUTION:A general-type movable seal 1 is formed on a projecting part 2 functioning as a wall which cuts off communication between a room 10 having normal atmosphere and a space 7 having the atmosphere of low temperature. A room 3 which is cut off to be communicated with a low-temperature atmosphere space 7 which is to be filled with warm gas by use of a cut off wall 5 is formed at the low-temperature side of the projecting part 2. The room 3 has both a port 9 from which warm gas is to be supplied and another port 6 from which warm gas is to be supplied and another port 6 through which the movable part 8 is to travel. The low-temperature atmosphere space 7 has an exhaust port 4. The exhaust port 4. The exhaust port 4 is a port which serves to discharge frozen steam produced when the low-temperature atmosphere space 7 is reduced in temperature and also serves to supply anti-freezing medium. The port 4 will be formed as an occasion demands.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent heat source fluid in tubes from freezing by a method wherein intermediate heat transfer medium is heated by providing a shell, in which the intermediate heat transfer medium is filled, a U-tube, through which liquefied gas is circulated, and tubes, which are arranged at the lower portion in the shell and through which heat source fluid is circulated. CONSTITUTION:Intermediate heat transfer mediums 3 and 3A are filled in the shell 1 of an intermediate heat transfer medium type heat exchanger A. Process side tubes 4 are immersed in the liquid of the intermediate heat transfer medium 3, while a U-tube 2, which is separate and independent from the tubes 4, is housed in the gas of the intermediate heat transfer medium 3A. Heat source fluid is supplied through a heat source fluid piping 9 into the tubes 4 and discharged outside through a heat source fluid piping 10. The intermediate heat transfer medium 3 comes to the boil by being given heat by the heat source fluid and ascends up to the upper portion in the shell 1 in the form of gas so as to turn into the intermediate heat transfer medium 3A in order to give heat to LNG supplied in the U-tube 2 through a processing piping 5 and to condense after the heat release and finally to drip down to the lower portion of the shell 1 in the form of the intermediate heat transfer medium 3. On the other hand, the LNG, which is vaporized by being given heat, is delivered through a processing piping 6 in the form of gas.
