    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate type heat exchanger preventing the occurrence of separation vortex flow in fluid flow flowing into a header for allowing even distribution into heat exchanger passages.
      SOLUTION: This plate type heat exchanger is provided with a heat exchange block 1 having multiple heat exchange passages. The header 6 is arranged to cover at least a part of the surface 3 of the heat block so that a continuous flow passage is formed between the header 6 and a part of the heat exchange passages. A flow passage opening 8 is formed on the end face of the header 5, and a header side end part of a socket tube passage 12 connected to the outside is opposed to the flow passage opening. The flow passage opening is arranged substantially orthogonally to the surface covered by the header in the heat exchange block. Just before the header side end part inside the socket tube passage 12, fluid guide means 12, 24, 25 and 26 are arranged.
