    • PURPOSE:To provide a continuously variable transmission gear which is small and powerful, by a method wherein plural shafts having spiral groove are mounted on a driving shaft, a slider is loosely engaged with the spiral groove, and the one side of the shaft is coupled with an output shaft through a roller clutch and a gear. CONSTITUTION:With a driving shaft 1 rotated, a shaft 4, a slider 5, and a gear 3 are integrally rotated, but through the action of a roller clutch 12, the gear 3 is prevented from rotation, but is rotated in a condition to be directly coupled to the gear of an output shaft 2. By inclining a slanted plate 7 during rotation, the slider 5 effects lateral movement, and the shaft 4 is started to rotate. Rotation of the shaft induces rotation of the gear 3 with the aid of the roller clutch and causes increase of the speed of the output shaft.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twin planet active drive continuous variable transmission capable of performing quick variable speed operation and continuous variable speed having a high variable speed ratio.SOLUTION: A support frame 1 which supports a planetary gear 3 of one set of planetary gears is mounted on an output side sun gear, a ring gear 2 which has internally-toothed gears right and left is engaged with a parent-child planetary gear and the planetary gear 3, further the planetary gear 3 and the final output side sun gear are engaged with each other and, thereby, two planetary gears are connected with one center shaft. By support frame inputting and a force of variable drive of a ring gear 2 by means of turning and rotation of the parent-child planetary gear via a reciprocal variable driving mechanism of the push gear, a support frame 1 attached to the sun gear engaged with the ring gear 2 is variably driven in the same speed and the same direction one to one relationship as the input and, by performing multiplication from the driving in the same speed and the same direction one to one relationship as the input of final output side sun gear engaged with the ring gear 2 by the rotation drive from the turning drive of the planet gear 3 engaged with the ring gear 2, high continuous variable speed ratio and quick variable speed operation is continuously performed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary gear-type continuously variable transmission mechanism which is capable of smooth continuous variation.SOLUTION: A support frame 4, which supports parent/child planet gears 7 provided with a one-way mechanism, and push gears 1 that mesh with the small gears of the parent/child planet gears and are provided with power rollers, is provided inside a member in which a ring shaped outer periphery support frame 5 that supports cam arms 2 having cam peaks at the top and bottom thereof, and an outer cam 3 that has cams that push out the cam arms, are meshed by a control gear 6, and a sun gear meshes with the large gears of the parent/child planet gears. The support frame 4 is rotated, applying driving force in an outer peripheral direction to the push gear 1, pushing the power rollers of the push gears 1 against the inner wall surface of the outer periphery support frame, stopping the rotation of the parent/child planet gears 7, thus creating rotational drive and obtaining drive from the sun gear. The cam arms 2 of the outer periphery support frame are pushed out by the rotation of the control gear 6, the push gears 1 are driven longitudinally and reciprocally, thus applying rotational drive to the parent/child planet gears 7 and adding rotational force to the sun gear.
