      SOLUTION: A housing 1 is formed in a cylindrical form having a bottom surface 1a. In the housing 1, a disc spring 21 of a circular form, a parking piston 11, a reaction receiving member 2, a service piston 10, a disc 9, a pressure receiving member 3, etc., are arranged in order from the side of the bottom surface 1a to be housed in it. At an end part of the housing 1 on the opposite side to the bottom surface 1a, a circular cover 4 is fixed. The disc spring 21 energizes the parking piston 11 toward the service piston 10. The bottom surface 1a of the housing 1 composes a support surface for supporting the disc spring 21. The reaction receiving member 2 functions as a common reaction receiving member for the service piston 10 and the parking piston 11.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the cooling effect by forming a penetration through-hole on the pressing surface of a piston and allowing lubricating oil to circulate through the inside and the outside of a brake chamber, in a brake apparatus in which rotors and stators are pressed in the brake chamber through the operation of a ring-shaped piston. CONSTITUTION:A number of disk-shaped rotors 1 are fixed in the direction of revolution with respect to a rotary shaft 2 and is installed so as to slidingly move in the axial direction. Further, a number of ring-shaped stators 3 are fixed in the direction of revolution with respect to a fixed pin 4 which is fixed in parallel to the rotary shaft 2 and installed so as to slidingly move in the axial direction. The rotor 1 and the stator 3 are pressed and brake-applied simultaneously in a brake chamber 6 by the operation of the ring-shaped piston 7 of a cylinder 10 fixed onto a case 5. In this case, a penetration through-hole 12 is form on the pressing surface 7' of the piston 7, and the inner and outer brake chambers 6 which are separated by said pressing surface 7' are allowed to communicate with each other. Thus, cooling oil is allowed to circulate through the inside and the outside of the brake chamber 6, and the cooling effect on the rotor 1 and the stator 3 is increased.
