The tubular part is constituted of a tapered part (22) adjacent to the female screw part and a cylindrical straight part (23) adjacent to the tapered part, is plastically deformed so as to diametrically expand the tapered part and the straight part, and is installed in the installation object member.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blind nut mountable to mounted members with a wide range of plate thickness without any fault.SOLUTION: A blind nut (20) includes an internal thread part (21) formed with an internal thread (25) inside; a hollow tubular part adjacent to the internal thread part; and a flange (24) with an opening formed at the end on the side opposite to the internal thread part. The internal thread part and the tubular part are inserted into a mounting hole (43) of a mounted member (41), and a part of the tubular part is plastically deformed to enlarge the diameter. The mounted member is held between a deformed diameter enlarged part (23a) and the flange to mount the blind nut to the mounted member. The tubular part includes a first tubular part (22) adjacent to the internal thread part and thinner in wall thickness than the internal thread part, and a second tubular part (23) located between the first tubular part and the flange and thinner in wall thickness than the first tubular part. A part of the second tubular part is plastically deformed to enlarge the diameter, and then the first tubular part is plastically deformed to enlarge the diameter following the deformation of the second tubular part, to mount the blind nut to the mounted member.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector connecting a first member to a second member so as to be electrically insulated to each other while maintaining the advantage of a blind nut capable of firmly connecting the first member to the second member from one side.
      SOLUTION: This connector 3 comprises a blind nut 1 and a bush 2. The blind nut 1 is formed of a nut part 9 in which a female screw 7 is formed, a tubular part 10, and a flange 13 which are formed integrally with each other. The tubular part 10 can be inserted into the mounting hole of the first member 5, and its tubular portion on the rear surface side can be radially deformably swelled. The bush 2 is formed of an annular insulation material surrounding the outer periphery of a tubular part 10 adjacent to a flange 13. A peripheral groove 18 in which the mounting hole edge part of the second member 6 is fitted is formed in the outer periphery of the bush 2. The tubular part 10 is radially deformably swelled to hold the bush 2 and the first member 5 between a radially deformably swelled portion 26 and the flange 13 so as to mechanically connect the first member to the second member in an electrically insulated state.
