    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and effectively detect a failure of an intake system in a hybrid vehicle. SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle (10) is provided with: a first motor controlling the rotation speed of an internal combustion engine (200) according to the rotating state; an idle air amount adjusting means (209) equipped with a valve body (208) for adjusting the idle air amount of the internal combustion engine according to an opening; and an intake pressure detection means (219) for detecting an intake pressure at the downstream of the valve body. A failure detection device (100) is provided with: a setting means for setting the target rotation speed of the internal combustion engine according to the vehicle speed when the hybrid vehicle is in an EV decelerating state; a rotation speed control means for controlling a first motor so that the rotation speed of the internal combustion engine can be changed to the set target rotation speed; and a state determination means for determining the state of the intake pressure detection means based on an intake pressure detected in a process that the rotation speed of the internal combustion engine changes to the set target rotation speed.
