摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a honeycomb structure by which electrodes can easily be formed on a side surface of a tubular honeycomb structure in which the side surface is a curved surface.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a honeycomb structure includes a step of preparing a formed honeycomb body 110 with electrode forming sheets and a honeycomb structure forming step. In the step of preparing the formed honeycomb body 110 with the electrode forming sheets, the electrode forming sheets 23 in which releasing sheets are provided with electrode paste films are prepared by coating a surface of each of the releasing sheets with a paste for an electrode, and the electrode forming sheets 23 are attached to a side surface of a tubular formed ceramic honeycomb body which is a curved surface, the tubular formed ceramic honeycomb body having partition walls with which a plurality of cells are formed and an outer peripheral wall, and thus the formed honeycomb body with the electrode forming sheets is prepared. In the honeycomb structure forming step, the formed honeycomb body 110 with the electrode forming sheets is fired or the releasing sheets 22 are removed from the formed honeycomb body 110 with the electrode forming sheets to form the formed honeycomb body with the pastes for the electrodes, and then the formed honeycomb body with the pastes for the electrodes is fired, and thus a honeycomb structure having a side surface provided with the electrodes is obtained.

摘要： A coating for a silicon based material such as those used in high temperature environments. An aspect of the invention is directed to an environmental barrier coating including a silicon bond coat (120), an intermediate coat (130), and a top coat (140). The intermediate coat may comprise tantalum aluminate, niobium aluminate, or a mixture of the two. The intermediate coat is resistant to solid-state subsurface reactions with the bond coat and the top coat and is substantially inert to reactions with silica at high temperatures.

An anticorrosive film 26 covers the upside of the coating layers 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24, and contains one or more rare earth oxide-containing compounds to form a dense and protective by-product barrier layer 28 by reacting with the molten salt impurities.

摘要： There is described a sealing composition for sealing aluminum nitride and aluminum oxynitride ceramics comprising: a mixture of SiO2, at least one other metal oxide, and a silicon additive comprising at least one of silicon metal or a silicide. The silicon additive acts to suppress the formation of nitrogen bubbles during the sealing of articles comprised of aluminum nitride or aluminum oxynitride ceramics, e.g., as in the case of a ceramic discharge vessel for a high intensity discharge lamp.
