    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid refining method in an electro-deionization device and its usage. SOLUTION: The fluid refining method comprises the following processes of (a) to (e): (a) a process for supplying the electro-deionization device having a plurality of ion-concentrating compartments each neighboring an ion-depleting compartment, arranging anion exchange membranes and cation exchange membranes in each compartment so as to be installed alternately at constant intervals in a plurality of compartments accommodating ion exchange substances, and installing these ion exchange membranes between first and second electrodes electrically communicated, (b) a process for making a first flow passing the ion-concentrating compartment in a first direction and a second flow passing the ion-depleting compartment in the first direction, (c) a process for generating a depleted fluid flow discharged from the ion-depleting compartment, and a concentrated fluid flow discharged from the ion-concentrating compartment by giving a first polarity to the first electrode and a second polarity to the second electrode and applying a voltage to generate an electric potential, (d) a process for reversing the direction of the first fluid flow passing the ion-concentrating compartment to an opposite second direction, and (e) a process for recovering a depleted fluid product from the ion-depleting compartment while the first fluid flow is passing the ion-concentrating compartment in the second direction.
