    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater which can suppress the increase of line-up quantity and size of an electrolyzer.SOLUTION: A heat pump water heater 11 includes a tank 15 to store water, a refrigerant circuit 10 having a water heat exchanger 21, water channels 27, 29 which send water stored in the tank 15 to the water heat exchanger 21 and return the water heated in the water heat exchanger 21 to the tank 15, a first electrolyzer 1 having a first electrode pair 491 provided in a first water channel F1 which is positioned further upstream than the water heat exchanger 21 in a water channel including the water channels 27, 29, a second electrolyzer 2 having a second electrode pair 492 provided in a second water channel F2 connected in parallel or in series to the first water channel F1 while being provided further upstream than the water heat exchanger 21 in the water flow channel, and a power source 53 which applies a voltage to the first electrode pair 491 and the second electrode pair 492.
