    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering lithium, which can be easily industrialized and by which lithium can be selectively and efficiently recovered from a solution containing lithium at a low concentration, such as seawater.SOLUTION: The method for recovering lithium comprises selectively separating and recovering lithium ions from a solution containing lithium ions. By partitioning with a lithium ion selective permeable membrane 5 that is located between an anode electrode 3 and a cathode electrode 4 and is impregnated with an ionic liquid having lithium ion selectivity, a lithium solution cell 8 is formed on the anode electrode 3 side and a lithium ion separation and recovery cell 9 is formed on the cathode electrode 4 side. The solution is supplied to the lithium solution cell 8. Lithium ions permeate the lithium ion selective permeable membrane 5, are dialyzed by the lithium ion separation and recovery cell 9 by electrodialysis method, and thus are recovered.
